I have obtained a copy of a letter being sent to the City of Vancouver by a city resident asking that I be fined under the city’s business by-law for selling cocaine without a business license.
I have had an open online chat thread with a license inspector for the City for several months now, which was started when I applied for a business license under the company name, Interactively Licensed Cocaine Sales, and this request was refused. I am updating the dialogue with the license inspector as it continues and you can find it by clicking here. [the thread has now been blocked, less than a day after the post you are reading was published]
If I am issued a fine, then as far as I know, it may be the first time since cocaine was criminalised in Canada that anyone will be fined for selling cocaine without a business license without being charged criminally for contravention of federal drug legislation. Since that will make it an event of historical interest to anyone focused on the evolution of democracy, I intend to put the notice of the fine in a nice frame and offer it publicly for the asking price of ten times the amount of the fine I pay. As the interactive electoral system becomes more well known in the public eye, I intend to increase this price. I shall only keep enough to pay me back for the fine (as well as the very expensive frame); the rest shall go to the Canada Interactive Legislature.
I have been derided repeatedly for my belief that my constitutional defence (Appendix A starting page 10 here) has anything to do with the lack of action against me by federal authorities despite their possession of more than enough evidence to easily have me convicted of trafficking. If I am not issued a fine by the City of Vancouver, then I don’t expect the people who are sceptical of my claim to alter their view on the matter. So if I don’t have to pay a fine, then hey City, thanks for nothin’. Come on, I’m begging you, let me pay for the metaphorical brick through the window. Charge me the full maximum, ten grand. You know you want to. Do it.
